Just a bit of news...

It's amazing to me how much better my week was when i was looking for all of the good things that happen in my life!! it was great! also it's almost spring and the sun has been out and it's been the most beautiful weather, so that's probably part of it. okay let me just say there may be an announcement coming up... like maybe at the end of this post... Now for the Good.better.best

GOOD:

This week there was so much good. where do i begin?

i got paid on friday! Super exciting stuff.

I wore sandals all over the place this week.

i got to go to din din with my sister. since we don't live together anymore i never see her. it was great fun.

and finding ways to pass the time at work when its really late and slow.

this baby was made by yours truly out of a post-it note. it was the only thing on my desk

BETTER:

me being blessed with a great friend who knew how to fix my car when it left me stranded at the grocery store. i guess the starter died? ayway, thanks Ryan, and to the two sweet gentlemen who came and offered to help us.

I decided to make breakfast for my roommates and was so glad that I did. The best remedy for a good day? Service. its official.

cleaning my car. man was it nasty! Thanks to my neighbor Nathaniel for helping me out. also for washing it too. Max has never looked so good. {while he's been in my care at least..}

BEST:

This fantastic spring weather! it's amazing! I can't believe it! I love this time of year more than anything

new friendships. Some sweet girls from work called me up and we got to hang out. I love them! they are great! and I'm super excited for what's to come.

being able to go to a baby shower for my sister-in-law. due in a few weeks! YAY! and being able to see some family members i never, hardly ever, get to see and talking to some very sweet people. I'm so lucky that i have great family, because in the end they are the only ones that really matter. Love them.

Getting letters from friends on missions and feeling so happy at how much they have grown. Best feeling.

I'M GETTING MARRIED!!



hahaha had ya goin' didn't i?? yeah don't worry that's not happening. but I am moving back to Arizona. I've been pretty frustrated that nothing has worked out for me lately and could not for the life of me figure out why.. well the other day i was talking on the phone with my sweet mom, I was being  emotional {sobbing} and frustrated. She was being patient and loving, and said you know you could always just come back here... and I thought well, maybe. So i've been praying about it and considering my options and well, I have finally found some peace. So after my friend Leah gets married I'll be home. the end.

Good, Better, Best

My great grandmother used to always tell my grandpa this little diddy:

good, better, best,

never let it rest,

until your good is your better

and your better is your best.

What exactly that has to do with this post i'm not 100% positive... :) 

In an effort to be a more consistent blogger, a more positive person, and to ultimately be happier, i've decided to make saturdays my weekly reflection day. I'll look at what was good, better, and then the best. why focus on the bad, when there is so much good.** cool right? well here goes...

**disclaimer. this is mostly for my own good. i found myself thinking pretty negatively this week and dwelling on the things that were making me upset. dumb idea.

GOOD:

work. the hours are long, but i'm grateful for a job. very very grateful.

my refund from school came back, looks like i'll be paying rent on time this month {woot!}
i bought a new purse. i've been saving since august practially, and i finally go up the guts to spend twenty bucks on this guy 

not bad eh?

BETTER:

 an awesome game of fugitive + and awesome FHE fam.
talking on the phone with my mum and pop. i'm so lucky they love me.
finishing a really long/incredibly great book. Fisher's of Men
glasses. yes. i had to get glasses. i was getting headaches and noticed some blurred vision after reading and working for long periods of time. so i saw the doc and got these beauties

BEST:

friday night. me, heather, natalli and a cheesy movie. {the vow}

buying some hunger games tixs. (this should probably be under good...) {SO excited}

ending the night with hot cocca and super mario bros/ mario kart wii. a family favorite.

the opportunity to bear my testimony in church.

the power of forgiveness. and the strength i get from prayer and scripture study.

The very best? Realizing that I have complete control over how i feel about myself/others/life. I like being happy.

it is rather easy to think oh i messed that up big time, or man they made me so angry, and to have some pretty gross feelings. i really hated it. and i knew that when i was venting complaining no one really wanted to listen, because that's not the good kind of news anyone likes to talk about. so from now on i will look at the good and not stop until all i see is the best.
